Toledo Clinic Continues to Expand Access
By Opening Two Urgent Care Centers
TOLEDO, Ohio –
The new Toledo Clinic Urgent Care centers are at the previous Springfield Urgent Care locations at 6819 Springvalley Drive in Holland, OH, and at 201 High Street in Bryan, OH.
Ashvin Felix, M.D., the founder and principle physician of the new facilities will be leading the effort to expand access and treatment to area patients for the Toledo Clinic. The Centers were created to provide walk-in and extended access to quality medical services for non-life threatening injuries and illnesses, including cuts, simple fractures, eye injuries, sprains, strains, rashes, sore throats, flu, fever, upper respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, and digestive ailments, as well as supplemental treatment for chronic conditions. In addition, the Urgent Care Centers will offer sports physicals and a wide variety of employer services, including employment physicals, DOT-certified testing and drug screens.
“The Toledo Clinic has made access to care one of its strategic priorities,” said Moshir Jacob MD, a primary care physician at The Toledo Clinic. “These new urgent care centers, coupled with the recent announcement of our collaboration with The Little Clinic, demonstrate our commitment to ensuring that people can get quality care whenever and wherever they need it.”
The Toledo Clinic at Springfield Urgent Care will be open from 8 am – 8 pm Monday through Saturday and from 12 pm – 6pm on Sunday and will treat patients of all ages.
The affiliation with The Toledo Clinic will strengthen coordination of care for the patient. Patients of The Toledo Clinic who access care at the Springfield and Bryan sites can have their records shared with their provider at The Toledo Clinic for treatment purposes.
“That’s extremely important,” said Dr. Jacob. “In the past, those patients would usually have ended up in the emergency room. This setting is more appropriate for everyone involved and will lead to better care and a quicker return to good health.”
